After nail-biting qualifiers and tedious live televised draws, the UEFA Champions League group stage is finally upon us, and the 2014 winners, Real Madrid, begin their campaign with a home match against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Real have started their Liga campaign in good form, drawing the opening match but following that up with 5-0 and 6-0 victories. They sit in second place early on, having not conceded a single goal. Cristiano Ronaldo scored five at the weekend, showing he's ready to take Europe by storm once again.
Shakhtar were similarly emphatic at the weekend, winning 5-0 themselves. They sit in second place in the Ukrainian Premier League, though they have played seven games already, losing just once. They should certainly be fit and in-form to face the Spanish giants.
The match kicks off at 7:45 p.m. BST (2:45 p.m. ET), and our coverage begins around half an hour beforehand.
