Monday Night Football has returned in full force with an opening-weekend doubleheader, and in the first act, the Philadelphia Eagles head south to face the Atlanta Falcons.
It's been a transcendent offseason for Chip Kelly's offense. After acquiring Sam Bradford from the St. Louis Rams and handing over the offense to him, the Eagles pulled the surprising move of trading away LeSean McCoy and replacing him with DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews.
Early success will be expected for the Eagles against a Falcons defense that was among the league's worst in 2014, but new head coach Dan Quinn has been hard at work reshaping the unit. If those strides can come quickly, Matt Ryan and Co. should take care of things on the other end.
The 7:10 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN is a bit earlier than usual to make time for the Vikings-49ers prime-time contest, but that just means less time to wait.
