Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has dubbed Joe Hart one of the best stoppers in world football ahead of their Champions League clash on Tuesday night.
The Italian legend believes his Manchester City rival has developed into a “real leader” after a spell on the sidelines back in 2013, and he now thinks Hart is among the top three on the planet.
He said, per the Daily Mirror:
I’ve been watching his game for a few years now, and Joe Hart is now for me one of the top three goalkeepers in the world.
Since his return to the team after being dropped, you won’t think of a better goalkeeper in the world.
It’s not just about the saves he makes, but the way he organises with such confidence. He is a real leader.
It's high praise indeed from the 150-cap international, who will be looking to get his hands on the Champions League trophy for the first time in his career this season.
