Anderson Held Out of Practice Monday
Tuesday, Sept. 15
According to ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold, Anderson is suffering from an ankle injury. Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said the ball-carrier could return to limited action Tuesday.
Anderson took over as Denver's starting running back midway through the 2014 season, rushing for 767 yards and eight touchdowns from Weeks 8 through 17.
This season, the Broncos may not have the same kind of offense fans have grown familiar with in recent years, as the offensive line features four new starters--and Peyton Manning is 39 years old. A stable running back situation can keep this team playing at a high level.
Kubiak comes from an offensive background, helping resurrect the Baltimore Ravens as offensive coordinator in 2014. Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman can fill in, but Anderson's absence will change how the offense runs.
