Rarely, if ever, can a Week 1 game be called a must-win. For the New York Jets, though, their season opener against the Cleveland Browns might have been a rare exception to that rule.
The Jets were favored by just 3.5 points, according to Odds Shark, but anyone who was paying attention knew the Jets should theoretically win the game by as many as 10 points.
They couldn't afford to lose this game if they wanted to be taken seriously in 2015. Sure enough, they delivered a Week 1 rout—that being said, the Jets have won the first game of the season each of the past four seasons but have still managed to miss the playoffs.
If they want to make a postseason push in 2015, they'll have to improve in some areas.
